Hey y’all!
This week’s episode came from a simple interaction and it turned into a reminder that the body of Christ is meant to build each other up. And ohhh, how it blessed me!!
Encouragement is Kingdom work.
In this episode, we talk about exhortation: what it means biblically and why it matters. Through Colossians 3:17, we unpack how everyday obedience becomes part of our witness. Sometimes God uses ordinary moments to remind us that our faithfulness is seen. And sometimes He uses us to remind someone else.
THIS WEEK’S SACRED SOUL NOTE…
Jesus is so sweet
Lord, deliver me as you did your people out of Egypt.
I have faith that you will.
Maybe on this side of heaven, maybe on the other.
Regardless, I love you, too.
Because even as this wretched sin tries to wrestle me to the ground... You remain.
You remain in me. And I in You.
This week’s scripture:
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
JOURNAL PROMPT:
Who has God placed in my life that I need to encourage?
Follow-up Questions:
What have I been withholding out of fear or awkwardness?
Do I receive encouragement freely, or do I deflect it?
How can my everyday obedience reflect Christ more clearly?
How can I be praying for you?
GET GODLY MERCH
The body of Christ was never meant to function in silence. We are called to build one another up. Ask the Lord who needs your words this week and be bold enough to speak them.
In faith,
