Holy guacamole it’s 2026, yall

Lately, every time I ask the Lord what He wants me to focus on, I don’t get a new plan or a new strategy. I just keep hearing the same word.

Abide.

Jesus calls us to abide.

This week on Seek JOY, I’m talking about what it looks like to abide in Christ when the struggle isn’t the obvious sins anymore. It’s the quieter stuff. The motives. The performing. The fixing. We sit in John 15 and talk honestly about sanctification, perfectionism, and learning how to receive God’s love instead of trying to earn it.

THIS WEEK’S SACRED SOUL NOTE…

i have everything

Remembering every word I say is a reflection of Him. It should be full of goodness and nothing less.

In remembering, I abide.

I abide in everything.

Because He is my everything.

And if I already have everything that I could ever need, what more is there to want? Everything else I want boils down to a lesser love.

A fleeting desire.

This week’s scripture:

Remain in me and I in you

— JOHN 15:4

JOURNAL PROMPT:

Where am I trying to fix what Jesus is asking me to trust Him with?

Follow-up Questions:

  • What sins or struggles feel quieter but heavier right now?

  • How do I usually measure spiritual growth?

  • What would it look like to just stay with Jesus today?

How can I be praying for you?

New to Seek JOY?

Abiding isn’t passive. It’s trust. It’s choosing to stay connected even when I’d rather clean myself up first.

Jesus isn’t asking for perfection. He’s asking me to remain.

To abiding,

Cheyenne
