Hey fam!

Before I met my fiancé, Shep, God told me to stop dating altogether — no flirting, no “just talking,” no entertaining anyone. It wasn’t about rules; it was about refinement. In that quiet season, He taught me what it means to date holy — to desire connection without compromising conviction.

Sometimes God’s “no” is the setup for your “yes.”

In this week’s video, I’m sharing how that season of surrender shaped the way I love now. From how to respectfully decline someone when you’re in a season of focus or conviction to what it practically looks like to date holy — with purity, kindness, and boundaries.

THIS WEEK’S SACRED SOUL NOTE…

HOLY DETAILS

We think the parts of the bible about sacrifices and animals and cubit feet are so boring.

But there is rich divinity there.

Rich meaning there.

Hidden revelation there.

If only we were to seek Him deeply even in this part of God’s Holy Word.

I think we forget even these details are holy.

They are Jesus.

Jesus IS the living word.

This week’s scripture:

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own

— 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19 (NIV)

JOURNAL PROMPT:

What does it mean for me to date in a way that reflects God’s holiness, not just my desires?

Follow-up Questions:

  1. What does “dating holy” look like in my current season of life?

  2. How do I handle attraction or interest while keeping my heart surrendered to God?

  3. Have I learned to say “no” from a place of peace rather than fear?

SPOTIFY ENCOURAGEMENT:

Listen to and save my Spotify playlist “God is my FATHER” while you journal, reflect, or just sit in His presence.

How can I be praying for you?

Every “no” in God’s timing carries protection, not punishment. When you let Him write your story, He’ll always prepare your heart for what is to come.
