I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving! Today’s note is for the ones who feel that spark burning in your chest. The excitement. The joy. The “I want the whole world to know Jesus” energy. I’ve been there. And I wish someone had taught me how to carry that fire with wisdom.
Holy zeal is beautiful — but it needs guidance.
This week on Seek JOY, we’re talking about what it means to be “on fire for Jesus, but not reckless.” We look at Proverbs 19:2, Proverbs 18:13, and Romans 10:2 to understand why zeal without wisdom can mislead us, and how partnering passion with humility helps us grow. We also talk about discipleship, discernment, motives, and practical ways to steward the fire God put inside you.

Pastors can often preach that we have doubt but are to believe deeply in God. Their messaging is meant to be good. But it made me question,
“Is my faith counterfeit?
Is what I believe about God to be true not.. what I actually believe?
Do I actually trust and believe God or is this self-righteousness about my own faith?”
Yup, I went down a whirlwind of questioning..

“Desire without knowledge is not good—how much more will hasty feet miss the way!”
